But we all know how difficult it can be to bring things up.

Important conversations shouldn't be scary.

Goodbye fear of confrontation!

Yes to empathy and building bonds.

Yes to open

communication.

Say no to grudges.

Listen is about to change the game

So what is

Listen again?

Listen is the card game that makes having difficult conversations simple and approachable. The cards provides a structure for people to open up and communicate.

Listen does the brunt work of setting up a dialogue by imbedding mediation techniques into the game's framework. That way users can focus on the talking and conflict resolution.

We even threw in activities to help get you in the right headspace.

Learn healthy communication techniques while you play and become a better listener!

Or, in more sophisticated terms, the interpersonal struggles amplified by pandemic confinement. Divorce rates were skyrocketing, #coronabreakup was trending on Twitter, and people were getting hurt. Our relationships were struggling, with no end in sight.

A little backstory

Listen is the brainchild of Naïs Hoang, Kazuki Guzman, and Laura Jaramillo. The trio met online during Wanted Design's 2020 annual design competition. Tasked with finding design solutions for the unforeseen mental health repercussions of the COVID-19 pandemic, their team chose to focus on an issue they—and countless others like them—were all newly afflicted by: cabin fever-induced, totally unnecessary home drama.

Listen was designed for a Covid world, but we believe it's a tool that goes beyond the scope of the pandemic. Everyone can use a little help with difficult conversations, whether they’re sharing a small apartment in quarantine or just navigating their regular friendships. We're bringing Listen to market because we believe it has the potential to help a lot of people.

$35 per box

People are uniquely complicated, and no two individuals can live together without stepping on each other's toes from time to time—it's only human. Initiating a conversation about those little things, however, can feel a little silly or imposing. That's one reason why so much gets left unsaid. But those little things add up and amplify the bigger issues, making for conflict that could have been avoided with more consistent check-ins.

Listen provides a structure for people to open up and communicate. The card game does the brunt work of setting up a dialogue by imbedding mediation techniques into the game's framework. That way users can focus on the talking and conflict resolution.
